1957, Water cannon exercise in Dortmund

Numerous large-scale operations also kept the Dortmund police busy in the turbulent 1950s. The riot police were therefore founded and trained in 1951. The water cannon was therefore introduced as a new operational tool. In November 1956, for example, the police used it to quell the Dortmund riots of the rebellious rock'n'roll generation.
